It still seems like summer (sun at the beginning of October?) but it is officially fall. We don't get much for colorful foliage right here in Seattle, but there are still plenty of fall festivals around the state worth checking out in this month's Datebook.

Here are Seattle Magazine, we've spent our time searching the city for some cheap eats and found some wonderful places at reasonable prices (you'll have to buy the print issue to find out where). Also this month, we have some musings on one of our lovely city's ugliest problems—traffic. And you'll want to read our take on the City Council race before you cast your vote in November.

October is also Breast Cancer Awareness month and we've devoted an entire section to the latest in research, treatments and resources for breast and ovarian cancer. Our three-page online section helps dispell the myths, provides more resources and offers some uplifting surivor stories.

As always, we'd love to hear your feedback on our website. Email us here with your comments and suggestions.
