You've seen Matisse at the SAM, Kennewick Man at the Burke and giant 747s at the Museum of Flight. You've admired American Impressionism at the Frye, Nihonga pottery at SAAM and treasures of Scandanavia at the Nordic Heritage Museum. You say you've visited all of Seattle's great museums? Think again. Seattle Magazine contributor Shana McNally takes you on a guided tour of the quirkiest, oddest and most eclectic museums this side of the Cascades.

Here's a little gem out in West Seattle to lure you with.

The Log House Museum is located on 3003 61st Ave. SW. Open Thursday 12 noon to 3 p.m., Friday 10 a.m to 3 p.m., Saturday and Sunday 12 noon to 3 p.m. From I-5 North take West Seattle freeway exit, and exit on Admiral Way. Turn right at 61st Ave. SW. The museum is on the corner. Odd item on display: engraved souvenir cranberry glassware from Alki Luna Park.
